Description

Its length allows it to reach distant lies with ease, while offering optimal drift control, a major asset for technical fishing.
In short, this is our favourite rod: it can do everything, and does it remarkably well.

After several years of research and development, SAGE introduces a new and highly comprehensive series of Spey rods: 13 two-handed rod models, ranging from the 12'6 line 5 to the 15' line 10, all featuring the exclusive R8 technology.
Each model has its own action, as each rod meets a specific need depending on the size of the rivers being fished, the strength of the currents, their depth, and the target fish species.
This style of fishing demands rods capable of casting and re-casting with precision and efficiency. A good two-handed rod must be able to propel and reposition a line and its fly intuitively and comfortably, with minimum fatigue and maximum pleasure in the cast and drift control.

The R8 technology, exclusive to SAGE, optimizes the three essential phases of the Spey Cast:
- Lift: the action of lifting the line from the water to form the D-loop.
- Load: the rod loading phase during the formation of the D-loop.
- Delivery: the phase of transferring energy from the rod to the fly line, leader and fly.

Recommended shooting heads:
Skagit: 500–550 grains
Scandi: 450–500 grains
